Groomed since birth by her parents Durba and Shantanu Bhattacharyya, Mitra has had the greatest of fortunes to get affectionate guidance and blessings from immortal legends as Guruma Meera Bandopadhyay, Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Guru Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty.
Mitra has stood first in some of the National level Raagsangeet competitions and has performed at honoured venues of the country.
